STO KALO NA PATE

Type de projet

Documentaire

In 2015, the Greek island of Lesvos became the epicenter of the European refugee crisis. A decade later, despite endless policy debates, the underlying structural issues remain largely unchanged. Sto Kalo Na Pate takes a macro, systemic approach to understanding the European Union’s broader migration and asylum framework, using Lesvos as a microcosm of institutional stagnation. Moving beyond top-down bureaucracy, the documentary addresses critical failures ranging from uneven burden sharing to sexual exploitation. Featuring key insights from an international lawyer, a Harvard professor in human rights, local fishermen who used their livelihoods to save lives at sea, and a non-profit working to protect children from exploitation, the film makes a compelling case for reforming a broken system across the EU and United Nations from the ground up.
