Biography
Élisa Platonoff, known by her artist name "AYĖL", is a 23-year-old French Singer-Songwriter, Film Composer, Vocalist, Pianist, and Arranger whose music lies at the crossroads of Pop, R&B, Folk, and Cinema. Passionate about musical storytelling in all its forms, she explores human emotions through songs and scores that combine intimacy, strength, and sincerity.
Trained at the Conservatoire Départemental de Noisiel, Élisa earned her Certificate of Musical Studies in Classical Piano with highest honors and unanimous distinction, while also exploring Jazz Piano. She has received several awards, including two Bronze Medals at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles for Best Original Song at just 16 years old.
Currently a third-year student at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Élisa is majoring in Film Scoring with a concentration in Orchestral Conducting, while also taking courses in Writing for Musical Theater and Film. She has maintained a 4.0 GPA since her arrival and serves as President of Berklee’s renowned a cappella group, Pitch Slapped, where she continues to develop her leadership skills. She is also a member of the Berklee Music Directors Association, where she refines her expertise in musical direction.
As a solo artist, AYĖL has performed on prestigious stages such as the Berklee Performance Center, House of Blues, and The Lilypad in Boston, as well as at festivals in France and San Francisco. She has also written for other artists, including PARIJITA, who is currently touring with Jacob Collier, and has composed for sync projects through Madden Flow Entertainment (Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+).
In parallel, she collaborates with emerging international directors and producers on short films such as “Fates of Femmes” and “Oz”, while developing a unique cinematic writing style. Her piece “Awakening”, performed live with a symphony orchestra during the Upside Down Universe show at the Berklee Performance Center, perfectly illustrates her ability to blend poetry, purpose, and musical innovation.
Always guided by a deep artistic and humanistic vision, AYĖL engages in projects that connect Music, Image, and social awareness, notably through performances and talks centered on human and environmental transformation (Harvard – Human Transformation in a Time of Metacrisis Conference).
