Biography

My Musical Adventure

Élisa Platonoff, AYĖL, French film music composer, singer-songwriter and pianist, passionately dives into the world of film music and songwriting since her teenage years. Influenced by Stevie Wonder , Michael Jackson, Adele and Debussy, music has become her lifeline and a constant presence in her life, stimulating her desire to create and express her emotions.

Trained at the Conservatoire Départemental de Noisiel, Élisa honed her skills in classical piano, composition and orchestration. She obtained the Certificat d’Études Musicales (CEM) with unanimous honors and congratulations from the jury in 2023, while learning jazz piano. She won awards such as two bronze medals at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles for “Best Original Song” at the age of 16.

She began composing for student short films, including "Ecris-moi" and "Il était une voix", and participated in live performances, such as the reinterpretation of Björk's album "Post" with a university band and concerts at venues such as Le Barbizon and La Ferronnerie in Paris. In 2023, she released her first EP "Rue du Paradis", demonstrating her ability to blend creativity and technical expertise.

Currently, Élisa studies at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she specializes in Film Scoring with a minor in Conducting. At Berklee, she distinguished herself through various projects, notably joining the famous a cappella group Pitch Slapped. Her performances include concerts with the Berklee Motion Picture Orchestra and recitals at David Friend Recital Hall. Her notable songs like "Come Back To Me", performed at the House of Blues, and "Colder Water", which she co-produced and co-wrote for artist Parijita (The Voice USA), highlight her versatility. Her composition for the short film "Chasing Talon" was presented at the MassArt Film Festival.

 

Élisa continues to push the boundaries of musical composition through multidisciplinary projects and international collaborations. She is currently working on a major production of the show "Upside Down Universe" as a singer-songwriter, arranger and composer, with her first performance in February 2025 at the Berklee Performance Center. She is also writing a score song for a new short film “Rose Please” by collaborating with young directors from L.A.​​
